Student Loans Company (SLC) was established during the school year 1990-1991. It’s composed of the Student Finance England, Student Finance NI (Northern Ireland), and Student Finance Wales. The SLC is not part of the government, but is the main tool used to provide government loans and grants for tuition and living costs to eligible students.
